Getting here
Travel & where to stay
Orlando is easy to fly into and impossible to get around without a car. Plan for both.
Fly into MCO
Orlando International is the main airport and has direct flights from Toronto, Vancouver, Delhi and most of the US. Sanford (SFB) is smaller and cheaper but a longer drive. December is peak season here — book early, prices climb steeply after October.
Rent a car
Venues, hotels and the airport are spread across the metro area and public transport won't get you between them. A rental or a rideshare budget is the difference between a relaxed week and a stressful one.
Two venues, half an hour apart
The Gurdwara is in Oviedo and the reception is in Lake Mary — roughly 30 minutes between them. Staying in Lake Mary keeps you walking distance from Tuesday night and a manageable drive from Monday morning.
Coming from Canada
Isha's side is travelling from Canada — check your passport's expiry now rather than in November, and confirm current US entry requirements with official sources well before you book. If you need a formal invitation letter for any reason, just ask us.
Where to stay
We have a room block at Homewood Suites for 13–16 December — book through the link below and the group rate is applied for you. The other two are nearby if you would rather book independently. December is high season in Central Florida, so book early either way.
